I am, as it turns out, a natural kayaker. Or so my colleagues thought at least. Which just proves how big liars they are! I’ve kayaked once before, in February 2003 in the Hauraki Gulf in Auckland, NZ. And Sarah in Warwick, UK, will vouch for the fact that there was nothing natural about it! That we [...]

It was nothing!

Yay! Just got the results from the mammography and there was no cytological change, so nothing to worry about. Phew! Just don’t know what I would’ve done if there had been. Well, now that that’s out of my worries I can move all my focus onto tonight’s kayaking excursion with work’s sports club…
A blinding migraine

Back when I was back in school I used to get migraines, especially after phys ed when I’d really given it my all. We’re talking junior high and high school here. I haven’t had one in yeeeears now, so imagine my surprise when I, after a completely non-exhausting swim, early this evening felt my field [...]
The lump crushing mammography

I’m acquainted with pain; suffering from arthritis it’s part of my every day, but today I experienced pain like never before. I had a mammography.
Two weeks ago, while lying in our tent in the mountains I felt a lump in one breast. “Uh-oh”. I quickly had Ewa feel it too, and no, I wasn’t imagining [...]

Who knew there was so much leather hiding out in the Swedish countryside? Who knew there were so many cowboyhats hiding out in the Swedish countryside? Who knew people actually listen to country music out in the Swedish countryside?! Me and my friend were so impressed and surprised by the fact that everyone knew the [...]
Malia, “a Chav hellhole for trash UK”

Okay, I know I shouldn’t laugh, but this is just too damn funny! Last week a local Greek woman “set fire” to a Brit who exposed himself to her in a bar in Malia, Crete, read about it here. Classic! I’m sure us Swedes aren’t much better, but the tackiness of young Brits travelling is appalling. [...]
It was sweet indeed!

Not sure about the sticky part, but Madonna’s Sticky and Sweet concert most certainly was the latter!
Mom and I headed south west after a quick pit stop at my place on Sunday. Our destination was Göteborg/Gothenburg and the Madonna concert. Because it sold out so fast, she actually put in an extra concert the night [...]
A second royal “I do” in the same year?!

Princess Madeleine, the youngest of our royalties, today officially announced her engagement to lawyer Jonas Bergström. They’ve been a couple for 7 years, and I’m assuming they’ve been holding it until Princess Victoria and Daniel got engaged, and they will also wait until they have married before they do the same. Wow…so now it’s only Prince Carl [...]
